A Canadian cancel is a member that has a payment failure and does not update their payment information.
How is is different than a cancel?
A Canadian cancel is a different data point you will want to measure.
Data points to be tracking in your membership site:
- New members
- Active members AKA members that renewed
- Cancelled
- Limbo - has cancelled but still has access to the site
- Canadian cancels
- Vanity metrics
If your Canadian cancels spike then you’ll want to investigate if there is an issue with your processor.
If your Canadian cancel are half or more of your cancels then you will want to investigate your update process and payment failure system.
