We have your submission !

Thank you for taking the time to complete the form.

If you are selected to move forward, you’ll be asked to complete a notes task. That is explained below. You can move the process forward quicker by completing it before we go through your application.

At BTN believe skills can be developed

We invest heavily in training because strong teams are built through learning, practice, and continuous improvement.

Meetings are one of the primary ways we create alignment, reduce noise, and move work forward. Meeting notes preserve that alignment and help ensure everyone understands what was decided, what matters, and what needs to happen next.

To help you understand how we work, we’ve created a short training on meeting notes, followed by a mock client meeting between our founder, Melodie Moore, and a team member, Lizzy.

This exercise serves two purposes: It gives you insight into what working with clients at BTN looks like. It allows us to assess your ability to follow instructions, identify what is important, and apply what you’ve learned from the training.

If hired, you would regularly participate in client meetings and be responsible for helping to keep projects organized and moving forward.

Step 1 Watch the Meeting Notes Training (approximately 15 minutes)

Step 2 Make your own copy of the Meeting Notes Document

Step 3 Watch the Mock Client Meeting and take meeting notes in your document (approximately 30 minutes)

Step 4 Submit your completed meeting notes

Requirements

Rename your document using your full name and today’s date.

Example: Melodie Moore – June 5, 2026

Highlight any notes you add using Light Orange 3.

Add your notes in the appropriate sections of the document:

  • New Requests
  • Support
  • Main Agenda

As You Watch, Pay particular attention to:

  • Dates and timelines Constraints (things that must happen)
  • Desires (things the client would like)
  • Context (why something matters)
  • Decisions that were made
  • What needs to happen next

This is not a transcription exercise. We are looking for your ability to identify what matters, create alignment, and capture the information needed to move the work forward.

Do your best with the information provided. Regardless of the outcome of the hiring process, the skills covered in this exercise are valuable in almost any professional role and will help you become more effective in meetings going forward.

Thank you for taking the time to complete the exercise.
